busy but happy

Last few days have been super busy but happyy!!

Friday
Im finally a high-flyer at Raffles Place!!
=S =x
Had a mini-roadshow over there and gave out flyers..

Which one's the woman? Which one's the man?

high flyer

I haven't done flyer distribution for about 8 years i think....
And tomorrow, for the first time in my professional career, I have to do it again...(as part of the new marketing strategy =S )

And this means....
I have to come face to face with the different categories of people with the following traits....

- The Polite Dismisser
Wry smile with a dismissing/rejecting hand gesture.

- The Heckcarebear
Just walk without making eye-to-eye contact and refusing to even acknowledge your presence.

- The Arrogant Bastard
Taking the flyer and throwing it away on the floor just seconds after taking it...

- The Facegiver
Willingly / Unwillingly accepts the flyer and will / will not try to grasp an understanding of the content.

I have to say im usually in the "polite dismisser" category... Hehs..

Pretty sad that Ivy's gone...
Cos i know i indirectly caused her departure...

ArghhhhhHHhhhH!!!!

But happy that...
..at least she got a good offer and don't have to stay at this cursed palace...

Her presence will be missed by all of us cause she liked to project a happy smiley image.
And happiness can be infectious..

Here's wishing you all the best for your future endeavours Ivy sis!

thinker

I'm a thinker...

Sometimes i might think too much but i believe it's better than not to think at all...
No I don't act or pretend to be someone im not...
I just try to restrain myself from saying or potentially doing the 'wrong thing'...

I used to hurt alot of people many years back with my sharp comments...
No matter how innocent your thoughts are and how you have no bad intentions, your negative comments will be etched in the memories of others...

People don't stop to think and figure out.."Ohh...he didn't mean it that way.."
They just assume...

My remarks used to be said without much thought and in the end, quite a number of people hated me...

Today, "I" made a big boo boo for the company and got slammed by the boss... LOLS...
I almost said... "Okay deduct that amount from my next salary then!"
I really almost did...

And luckily i had a quick thought and realise i can't afford losing that much of income...

Thanks to thinking! =S

And o yeah...no matter how big the problem is...it can always be solved...
Cultivate a positive mindset and you'll be happy... =)

Away from the palace for 3 days..
Our course instructor for the day was quite "humourous".

Mr.Trainer: You know why it's called first aid? Cos first person to get aids lah huh? Like dat lah..

Mr.Trainer: Singaporeans rarely get snake bites... but Singaporeans everyday like to eat snake..
Class: (Subdued laughter..)
Mr.Trainer: (tells a China lady) Snake very nice to eat.. Crunchy and delicious..
Chinagal: I never eat before...
Amins: =S

Mr.Trainer: You know how to differentiate between male skeleton and gay skeleton?
Class: One bone less?
Mr. Trainer: No.. the gay skeleton will have perfume smell!
