After today's lecture, I realised i've got a few English names..

I probably should stop introducing myself as A-meen and just use the full name...

Amins: A-min...
Jeremy: Ohh.. Edmund..
Amins: =S

Recently i've been called Timothy, Edwin, Edmin, Edmund, Alvin amongst many other names. But then again, the other time i introduced myself by my full name, someone kept calling me Norman. =S

Tak nak means "don't want" in Malay.

Huiling is sooo cute lah..
She wants me to speak more Mandarin. So i made a deal with her that whenever i do, she will reply in Malay.. Hehs..

monday nite specials

There's this family spirit at my workplace.
We have a Monday Night Football special every week.
The workers are all like family pally. And our bosses have no qualms about treating us like their children... =S

Todayyy...tiring but fun!
Some of em called me Magic Johnson (obviously because of my flashy extravagance with the ball).. Hehs..
And Huiting wasn't bad at all.. She scored three or four goals..
Wah..you should train with the FAS ladies during the Tuesdays' Ladies Nights la...
Then who knows one day you might even be playing for the national team... =D

a legend returns...

The King of Surprises made a surprise visit back to IRAS... =D
and i brought along some Famous Amins cookies with me... =)
Really missed the guys and the place alot... (and i know they missed me too... hehe )

Apparently, my 'legend tag' has just been removed.. =S Hehs..
And funny how some of em told me the same thing.... at DIFFERENT times... that the power supply there crashed days after i left because even the building missed me... LOLS!
Shucks I should have gone there earlier...didn't have enough time for a decent conversation with everyone.. darn it! Had to rush later on..

..yet another busy evening at work. How could i have coped without Joanne and Junwei... =)

...yeap little things like this, ..a simple dinner with friends... makes me happy.. =)

i hate goodbyes (yet again) !!

Today we bid farewell to Alison, Amanda (a.k.a the official eyecandy for FICO guys) & Junliang...
Even though i've just known them for days....i feel really sad that they are leaving... Their absence will be felt by the rest of us without a doubt.

New journey

Felt strange taking a different route to work...
Was wondering whether i could ever recapture the kind of magic i had at IRAS...
That family feeling...the comraderie..

Anyway, the first day..
there's always loads of things to learn... and my colleagues even though not many.. are nice pple. That's very important. =)
Even though three of em weren't around today, cutiepie Huiling assured me they were very nice..
On the bus home she said, "Here the colleagues all very niceeee, very gooddddd but the... xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx...."
(okay the ending part of the sentence has been censored to protect the innocent!)

birthday wish

i didn't tell you guys my birthday wish just now cos people say if you say it out, it won't come true...

Amins' Day

Usually when it's a close friend's last day, I'll feel really horrible. Very upset everytime..
Thought i would feel that way today...but the joy i had today, the love the peeps showered me with... overrode the sadness.

Today's gifts:

Arrived at the office to see a cup of tea greeting me on my table.. courtesy of Lisa. Heh..
Then went straight to find Chris, Lynn, Diana, Cynthia & Bee at Efiling centre to pass my farewell gifts to em...
And then off to find Tiffany at Frontline 35.. And then Mel at Compliance..
(yeap too many friends =S Hehs)

As time passed by, one by one the gifts landed.
...i said i was leaving with a heavy heart.. it became heavier with every single gift that i got..

Mar asked me in the morning whether i had any superstitions about celebrating birthdays in advance. I started to suspect they were planning some surprise birthday thingy. Hehe..
And then during lunch, Mar, Far & Far went missing for quite a while. My suspicions grew..
I'm the King of Surprises remember?! Ofcos i know the tell-tale signs. Hahhas...

And so true enough, they surprised me at the end of the day with a mini bday party..
Yes guys i'm really v touched.. Thanks for everything... With all due respect to my previous teams, this team is the best i've ever been in. Great bunch of people. Funny, happy characters.. Great mix of humour and slapstickness.

Gonna miss all of em there.... and i know they will miss me too.. Hehs

Even though some things didn't go too well today.. =/
This is still a day to remember for the joy and laughters.. =)
