There are so many Ys in my head right now that I wish I could just X em out..
Walked alone around town after work to pass time by.. before going off to meet Mom...
Am I really a friend?
Or am I really just a passer-by in people's lives....?
Haish...feel quite disappointed today...

Okay enough with the emo shit..

Little Jonny's last day and no matter how gay it sounds...I will still say that I will miss having my emo partner around. Funny how we clicked and became close...probably because we are of the same "suppressed emo" genre... =S
Some people might think we are childish and full of crap but do they even take a second to think slightly deeper how we actually feel or think...
Sometimes pple seem cheerful and laughing all the time but deep inside they got other emo issues at the back of their heads....
laughters and humour are probably the best cure for any sadness...
but i guess he's better at this than me.....

Rud is also leavin but for a new job...
Many people kinda dislike him but I sometimes feel sorry for him...
feel he's a little bit hard done by...
I personally think he's an okay guy but the way he expresses himself sometimes is a little....let's say...not very appropriate...

All in all...let's look at the positives... a brighter future awaits all of us...

Hellos & Goodbyes

Nice to see Soh Hoon back at Revenue House again.
Even though just for a short period before her school starts again...
At least, there's another good friend to talk to...

Little Jonny is leaving soon to fulfil his national duty commitments...
...leaving me, the surviving member of the original Magnificent 7, to pursue a solo career....
Hehs...
But well...it's inevitable
....time for him to become a man! Hehhs...

treasure ur loved ones...while they are still around

Went to the cemetery this morning instead of regular Sunday footy.
I miss my dad..
He's the best role model a person could have.
He was a good man, humourous, and a sincere friend...who was very helpful towards others.
And when I look back, I remember just how many people loved and cared about him.

And he was a genius. He could speak many different languages fluently.. He spoke Hokkien, he spoke French... And he was even a guitarist in a popular band in the 60s...
He invented this clock which was somehow connected to the doorbell and when pple pressed the switch...greetings of "Assalamualaikum" (which means may peace be upon you in Arabic) will be heard. Today, considering present's technology, this might be scoffed at. But during the early 90s, it was indeed a big deal.
He started a company with a couple of friends and ventured into the Middle East market with this product... Honestly, I didn't know all these only until a couple of years back when Mom showed me a newspaper article....(i still have the paper cutting) but I've always knew my dad was an individual of great intelligence...
And he was ambitious. Before his departure...he told my mom his plans of venturing into the medical field.. In fact, he was about to start.. Sigh...

I still remember how Dad (despite having no interest in football), tried to find out more about footy so as to communicate better with this child of his I guess.... There was even once he secretly went to my primary school to watch me train. I didn't know anything about this until Eldest Sis told me...
And despite his age, he didn't want to retire because he wanted to save more money for his children to further their studies... Sigh...

My life would definitely be different if Dad was still around...
It was a cruel way to force me to grow up that way. I've experienced the greatest pain in the world... the pain of losing your most loved one... a pain I would not wish upon my worst enemy..
Have I ever been really happy since Dad left?

I'm sorry I let you down Dad...
I know I didn't study hard enough..

But one day...I'll be successful...and I'll make you and Mom proud of me....

another working week bites the dust

Another working week bites the dust.
TGIF!
Been feelin very tired and lacklustre these few days.
Really really need the break...any break...even a short one..
And the knee injury i picked up last week during footy seems to be recovering well...
But experience says knee injuries needs more time...
Can i play this Sunday.. Haish...hope so...

My supervisor played a small silly 'prank' on me just now. Gave me an envelope with a letter inside.

W.K: Its what you've been waiting for...
Amins: Huh.. oh ok...
(tears the envelope and reads the letter)
W.K: (laughs)

(It was actually an email from the manager saying I could return to Clearance team.)

W.K: So what did you think it was ar...
Amins: -_-''' Cheyy~~~
W.K: (laughs out loud)

Hehs...
Anyway, after that, he gave me a Giorgio Armani T-shirt. Yeah..Thanks!!

Treading the mill

Had Jocey for company for the journey home from work just now.
I guess it's been months since the last time...Hmmmm.....
Always fun (when we are both in the mood to talk) to go to work or go back with her...
Jocey is easy to get along with and has got an infectious laughter...
And sometimes we have some interestin/weird topics to talk about... Hehhs..
Time kinda flies and the almost-1-hour journeys are not as painful... =)

By the way, anyone knows where I can service Oto treadmills?
Bought mine many years back (with hard-earned money). and now it's super noisy.
Somehow there's this loud screeching sound after about 5 minutes and the treadmill generates a lot of heat like it's about to explode.. =S
I think Oto doesn't sell treadmills anymore (or do they still?)...

Or.....
Anyone wanna buy it from me?
Cos now...it's not only a treadmill..it's also a standing sauna..

Football Fever

I've got football fever right now. Literally.
Started today's session with the temperatures rising like El Nino.
And ended it playing in the heavy rain...
And now I've got fever. Well done..

Goal!

Rejected Halim's invitation to play field footy today cos was not feelin too well..
But think I'll recover for Dragonscage footy tomorrow...

So the other day Halim was talking about how his honeymoon went.
He went to White Hart Lane to watch a football match before jetting off to Paris.. Nice...
And he showed me and Diq the video that he took over there....
Lim told about how he was taunted and jeered at when he wore his Spurs shirt while touring there.. And Spurs are not exactly the most popular team in London...
All of em called him a word which was supposedly aimed at Jewish over there... =S
"Hey you...f***ing wear that shirt!!" one man shouted
"I notice the bloody shirt..." a gal at the museum said..
Hehh...
just shows how seriously people over there take their football...
Football is practically the religion...

Spent today resting and watching Goal Part2 (again).
Not exactly the most intellectual football movie but I liked it.. Hehs..

Hmmmm.... wonder when I'm goin to Anfield to catch my beloved Liverpool in action..
Gotta go before they move to the new stadium....

Mr. Misunderstood

Was chatting with a fren on MSN and for the "i've lost count" time, another misunderstanding.
And now she's mad at me...

I wonder why...I wonder how...
Many times I feel i'm sentenced to death without the evidence being examined...
Many times I wish people would try to understand me better...
I know..for a fact..i'm not so easy to understand...sometimes I don't even understand the things that i do.. =S
But i wish...just wish...people would make an effort to understand....

Football Feva

Yesss!! Football fever season started last night...
After months of pre-season friendlies and boring holiday matches, finally here's the real deal.
And Liverpool won! Woohoo!!
Can't for wait for the Spanish La Liga to start as well and then I can torture myself to sleepless nights and spend weekends watching footy matches one after another contunuously like a zombie.. =S

Big Eater goes to Sakura

Went to Sakura at Clementi Woods after work with Izwan, Chi Guan, Fad, Firdaus, Siddiq & Mimi.
Wa...today I definitely created a new personal record for eating the most in a single day in my life.
It was worth every penny... I ate until I felt like vomiting... =S
There was so much food and so many different varieties that I was spoilt for choice...
The dessert - cheesecake and the ice-cream..wow...really really nice.... =P~
We stayed there for 3 hours and ate and ate...

And the pics above....are just about 30-40% of the food on show. =S
The jokes cracked by one another didn't help and we almost laughed out our food... =S
I've always thought I could eat a lot..but this time I concede defeat.. Hehs.
Decided to take the 45-minute walk from there to Clementi MRT instead of taking bus to aid the digestion...

On another note....it's really disappointing when friends don't care...
Didn't even bother to explain...
A simple SMS takes just a minute or two...
Of cos...chatting up a gal got time...
This shows how he don't even care...
And to think I forgave him easily...
The least I expect is sincerity in the friendship...
Do I really need this?

N.D 07

Super sleepy right now......
waited until 1a.m. for Mom to go to bed last night before I could get to work.
Slept at 3 plus and woke up early in the morning with footy action in mind but plans were disrupted by the rain. Darn it!
Went for a picnic with the family at Pasir Ris.

Ate loads today and tomorrow I'm going to eat a lot more... =S
Time for a jog and then off to bed! Ciao!

No.4

The good news yesterday was that in the DragonsCage Awards, I was voted 4th in the list for the Player of the Year award for the 2006-07 season.
Not too bad an achievement to be No.4 from 30+ players.
But to be honest, I'm not very happy with my performances in recent weeks.
Something off-the-football affected my football but it's been awhile since it happened and I don't know where my form went.
I guess the only thing I can do is to keep working harder everytime I play.
And the nice thing was that the votes came from the players themselves and I'm really flattered.
I do think that some players deserved to be above me in the rankings but maybe some of em liked my flamboyant, cocky, cheeky style of play and probably explains why I got more voting points.
I want to be the best and I'll work even harder from today...

On another note....
Mom has been asking me to paint our door gates for ages now but I purposely pretended not to listen or act busy or act lazy... But....
I've already bought the paint and tomorrow when she wakes up....she'll get a pleasant surprise..(i guess) Hehes...

Another one of my hobbies/habits - surprising people... =D

Sweet & Sour

The Magnificent Seven's K-box outing which we planned for many many weeks finally happened today...
Long delay due to some bein busy with work, some busy with school stuffs, some busy falling in love...Hehs...
All of us really had fun.

And we belatedly celebrated Tzechi's birthday as well.
Her friend Priscillia - surprise guest, surprise cake, surprise gifts, surprise Happy Birthday!
Sweeetttt.... =)

Tzechi sang well and Tingting & Mel are not as bad as they claimed.
As for me, Johnson, Jianhui & Lionel....let's just say we are not very talented in this aspect..
But we did okay... Hahas..

Just when everything was going well and we were about to leave, things turned sour.. =(
A handphone was lost..
Efforts were taken to find it but alas, we couldn't.
Haish... Sad ending to the day...but well let's try to remember the positive stuffs instead...

What: Hajar's Burger
Amins: Very nice breakfast.. black peppered beef burger with loads of mayonaisse. Decided to give it an extra point for Hajar's effort and waking up that slightly earlier to make me a burger. Yum yum..
Rating: 4/5

What: Nasi Padang at United Square's Food Junction
Amins: Lunchtime! For $4.50, the food was okay and the serving was quite a lot. But for the price I could probably add more dishes elsewhere.
Rating: 3/5

What: Mango juice at Delights Cafe (outside United Square)

Amins: Just $1.50 and I really like it. Probably because I like mangoes...hehs...
Rating: 3.5/5

What: Dars White Chocolates
Amins: Director of F&C branch's 'reward' for helping her distribute some stuffs many days ago. Nice when eating just one or two small cubes but you kinda get sick of it after awhile... or maybe it's just cos I prefer dark chocolates.

What: Bandito Pockett meal at KFC, Anchorpoint.

Amins: Fulling dinner after shopping (and strolling) at Queensway Shopping Centre.

What: Chicken Rice with sweet&sour fish, veggie, chicken wing...
Amins: Dinner Part II. Since mom's cooking is always the best, this has got to be the best meal of the day. =D
