Flashback Friday - Army Daze

I wonder how's life treating them.
All my mates from recruit life - I've lost contact with almost all of em.
I was lucky to get a friend whom I knew from primary school as a bunkmate...made it easier for both of us to settle down into NS life back then.
The crappiest and probably the funniest thing I remember from the first few months was when the guys all grabbed this guy named Sani and tormented him. (See first photo above) He was despised for always keng-ing. Somehow he had the ability to fake a sickness and always got his MCs and he was really proud of it. Hahhas.. So one day, when we had some free time, all of them grabbed him and stripped him naked and tied him up using the bedsheets. I was instructed to be the photographer. =S
Come to think of it...it was like a scene from a sick psycho thriller. Hehs..

Personally I feel NS is very beneficial for a guy. It really matures you and you have no choice but to grow up. The only complain is that it's too long.

I wonder how's life treating them now.

small matter

Sad.
Out of my three buddies, you are supposed to be the most understanding and matured one.

I know over at your side you must be thinking 'what's so difficult about this? its such a simple thing to do.'

Yes. It's not difficult at all. And it's really simple.
But why did I ask for a reason? I didn't want you to get into trouble that's why.
I know the chances of getting into trouble are not high at all...but it's always good for you to have a "valid reason".

But the way you said "kaoz..can help or not?" showed just how unappreciative... sigh..

The last time when (another buddy) Rash continuously took me for granted and hit the threshold, I lashed out at him and told him to "Fuck off!" We were on bad terms for months. =S

However, things have changed and we are all older now...
Rather than lash out, I prefer to think things through more..
I tell myself...Don't let small matters affect our years of friendship.

But I'm not one to conceal my feelings... I find it hard to..
When i'm sad or unhappy...most times pple can see it on my face..
It's one of the reasons why I decided to blog in the first place...no matter how uncool and unmanly many guys deemed it to be...
At least there's an outlet for me to express myself....rather than bear grudges or keep things at the back of my head..

I believe after this post I will feel better and tomorrow, another new day, all the unhappiness will subside and the laughters will return.

Busy Hero

Crappy incident in school.
Lecture just ended.
I went down the staircase where there were some snacks vending machine.
I thought to myself that I feel like buying some snacks to munch on...
Pondered for a moment and then decided not to.

I turned and somehow said out loud "Nahh..."

Didn't realise there was someone standing behind me.
A girl with a puzzled look.
I read her mind and she thought "Omigosh..I didn't know my classmate was mad"
=S

Anyway, Heroes is gaining popularity...
The peeps in school are all talking about my fave show.. =D Hehs

How I wish i had Hiro Nakamura's power right now..
I need all the time i can get.

Work.

Mugger

Been mugging for the last few hours...
Before leaving work early, I was worried that at home I would be tempted to FM instead of studying..
And end up possibly not doing any revising at all... =S
And if i didn't...I would be like...distracted during my mugging.
Damn...its like secondary school days all over again when all the guys were addicted to Championship Manager..and we would play the game until the wee hours of the morning and just copy the homework from someone who did it at school...hehs

Hmmm...Why surpress that desire and suffer? Why not make it work for you?
Decided to work hard and mug and reward myself with an hour or two of Football Manager after that.

And it worked i guess... managed to focus just now..

FM-ing right now while watching Barcelona v Stuttgart... Yea~
Realised I still have 6-7 recorded matches of Barca that I haven't watched yet... =S

Dog?

Reaching home and an ah-beng in black with red/pink streaks hair stops me in my tracks...

Beng: (sitting down with an arrogant smirk on his face) "Boy...this one my dog!"

I stopped and looked... he pointed to a gal sitting in front of him..
She was looking away... was she crying? I dunno...but seemed to be..
Then his friend in front of him backed him up "This one my dog" she said...

For a moment, I wanted to ask what the hell were they talking about...

But finally decided to just give the Beng a "that's bullshit" look and walked away...

I dunno wad she did to be called a dog...or bitch...
What the hell...?
And boy?? Boy my ass dude...

Long weekend

Tiring last weekend.
Went lab class on Saturday afternoon...
When was the last time I stepped into a lab?
Glad that I got a smart chap in Vincent to be my partner..
if not I would maybe have struggled.. =S

Went to Jurong East library to find the Chem book that I've been looking for but to no avail...
Still had two hours plus before meeting Diq...so decided to grab a book and get cosy down there..
Patrick Vieira's autobiography was my choice...
The wonders of speed reading...I finished the book.
(Erm..yeap I skipped a couple of chapters... =S)
Interesting and enjoyable book... nothing beats Robbie Fowler's one though..

Went over to Kallang...
Played TheCage footy with Diq & Firdaus and their Indian cousins/friends...
Had a satisfactory outing...but could be better I guess...
Reached home 12plus...bathed and caught the late kickoff game..
Liverpool beating Fulham 2-0 ...YEAHH!!!

4 hours of sleep....

Time for Dragonscage football!! =S

Felt I could have done better during the last stages of the games when everyone was tiring out...
But it's ok....there's always next Sunday for me to try harder...

Super super tired.

Fitness 1st

Found it hard to grasp a great understanding of what was going on during tutorial today...
Really crap!!! Arghhhh!!!!
Felt a bit disheartened... Sigh~

Met up with Diq and went to Fitness First at theCathay....
Not my first time there, but still....I have nothing but praise for them..
The facilities are world-class and this time around I made sure I tried almost all the machines...
Kiasu hehs...

Something crappy happened...
An old song from the 90's was being played over the sound system and me and Diq were laughing at it... cos we both found it abit funny.. =S
he was nodding his head towards the direction of this gal who was doing some workouts near us (but in fact.. he wasn't referring to her but bringing my attention to the song)..
Then after we both bursted out in laughter, the gal gave me a cold hard stare...

I read her mind and she said.. "Immature jerks...what are u laughing at? F*** off!!"

Well...okokok...i can't read minds..but I guess she must have thought something like that...
She then left the scene of the 'crime'...
And she was like..what..just arrived and started? And stopped working out because of that? =S
Sorry lady...we weren't laughing at you....

Anyway...great workout and sauna session after that... Wooo~ Livin la vida loca...

Felt sky high after all that... thank you endorphins..

donutty

Found out today that a box of Donut Factory donuts can be a fashion accessory.

Intended to just accompany Siddiq at first but decided to buy as well since I got the time before going for lecture.
After that, everywhere I went, people were looking at my face and then looking at the box of donuts I was carrying and looking at me again and looking at the box of donuts....
same continuous sequence... =S

Even heard someone mention that I don't look like the sort who would queue up... =S
Hahas...

The D.F management are making the right move I reckon...they know the craze won't last forever....just like Bubble Tea, Roti Boy...etc... so this new start-up of a D.F cafe at Novena selling donuts, ice-cream and coffee etc.. is a smart move in my opinion...

And it's a lot faster than the one at City Hall....
(on cue, hundreds of footsteps can be heard rushing to Novena Square)
=D

Anyway....not really in a happy mood these few days....

Struggling.

Time for me to watch the Reds win against Cardiff City while havin my donuts...
That would cheer me up...(i think)

Pay slips

Liverpool's John Arne Riise payslip from last season somehow got 'stolen' (i guess) and put on the internet recently.... revealing he earns about 30,000 pounds per week. =S

Just his salary from one week can start a small business right here in our sunny island..
