2008

I can't believe it's already 2008.
07 has been a decent year.
Learnt a lot of lessons. Which i hope i won't forget.
Made a lot of new friends...some of em I really cherish and treasure.
I don't wish to mention my new year resolutions...
Don't want to put unnecessary pressure or jinx myself..

But one thing for sure is I wish 2008 will be a happy year for me.
I hope i can grow out of my emo shell.
I believe colleagues like Mardiah noticed how chirpy and hyper I've been recently rather than moody & emo. That's because recently one of the things that troubled me for months has been solved and it made me feel relieved and cheered me up.

Like how she said, 'little things make me happy, little things make me sad'.

Have i ever been really happy for the last few years?
I want to be happy.

Christmas Footy

Played footy on Christmas.
And for the first time ever, there was a gift exchange at the Dragonscage... Hahhas..
This time around, the new blood of the cage, the Young Lions did not play as aggressively as on Sunday. I wonder why. Hehs..
I don't mind abit of aggression. Afterall, it's a man's game.
Their arrival is great for the rest of us. I reckon they will really up the game of many of us.

good mood

Played slightly better yesterday.
Maybe it's because my mood has improved significantly.
Even Liverpool's 1-0 reverse at Anfield later on has failed to dampened my spirits.
And this is very unusual.

Maybe it's because a knot in my heart has been untied.

Happy.

And after work, it was the grand meeting of the Magnificent Se7en.
(again i'm known as the master organiser right guys?)
Not easy to organise this reunion as it's difficult for us all to be available at the same time considering all seven heroes are fighting different battles in life.
Never a dull moment with them. Very happy to meet them again after some time.
And I have to pay tribute to TC for her willingness to sacrifice her glamour image and show the 'ugly' comical side of herself everytime.
This ensures that the mood is never tense and we all always have a great laugh.
Her impersonation of a bimbo with an English accent.. "omigosh im soooo pretttyyyy" cracked us all up. And yes..continue to swing your hair from side to side... LOL.

If u believe, u can achieve - Liverpool 4-0 @ Marseille

Planned to watch just the 2nd half..cos was too tired..
But was awakened by Siddiq's SMS message at 2plus a.m. =S
Can't sleep again after that so decided to play F.M while waiting for kickoff.
Great stuff!
2 goals in like the first 10 minutes.
And we could have scored more than just the 4 goals.
The mighty Reds showed just what we could achieve if we believe.
We were really really good.
..and El Nino is on fire!!

Footy Talk

Conversation with Fad. He was asking me whether recently there are any gals that I am interested in.. We then started talking in football terms.

Amin: No ah Fad. All the talents have been snapped up by the big clubs. Who am I? I'm just a small club... I can't compete. Haishh~~~

Fad: Hmmm.. why don't you tap up?

(Tapping up basically means to illegally approach a player who is under contract to a club without the club's knowledge/permission.)

Amin: Cannot ar Fad. Tap up won't work. I'm just a small club. I can't offer them the terms they want. They won't sign.

Fad: But you are ambitious. Tell them you're ambitious.

Amin: Ambitious and so? No use.. I don't have the glitz or the riches of the big clubs. I can't offer them the contract that they want..

Silence for a moment...

After that, both of us started to laugh. Heh..

el lunes

Not feeling well today probably because of playing footy in the rain yesterday but still went to work...for various reasons.
Workplace seemed to be so cold and quiet.
Someone didn't seem to be in the mood to talk to me. Sad.
Diq was ill too. So he didn't go to work. Boring.
Aly and Diane already left for Msia. One of the papers today reported yet another nasty incident over there. Gosh... wish they will come back happy and most importantly safe and sound..

Grateful to my bro for giving me a desktop and helping me to fix my internet. Thanks bro!
If not... my eyes will degenerate in double quick time looking at my super laptop's screen.

Probably yet another meaningless post...but well, who said you had to blog something meaningful all the time.

Me and Siddiq treated Fad and Rash to Japanese food.
Rash's birthday. Belated birthday celebration for Fad as well..
Been a long time since we four buddies had an outing together..
Always a fun time with them. Walked and walked and walked before we settled down to have some drinks and played cards.
We used to chill out a lot at the old Pacific Coffee joint at Citylink mall.
It's like that cafe in the old show Friends for us.

Liverpool's unbeaten run ended at Reading. But well, better to lose now than in more important games. Three hours of sleep later, I was off to the Dragonscage.
Played really shittily. (new word)
Probably one of my worst displays ever. At times, I was frustrated with myself. It was like I didn't know how to play.
Farid, one of the smart guys, could see I was losing confidence and he tried to motivate me with words of praise but to no avail. Sigh~~~

Super laptop

My laptop is half dead now.
Take a look at the screen. About two-thirds are gone.
Amazing that it's still possible for me to blog with my lappie in this state.

Watched Heroes' Volume 2 finale. Quite predictable I have to say. But yeah can't wait for Volume 3... slated to start in a couple of months time in 2008.

whats happening here

Was just midway through my first two matches and i asked myself in Sylar's voice "What's happening to me?"
I felt really lethargic and tired.
Did I had to much to eat the previous day?
But then again...as usual on Saturdays I consume about 4 meals to prepare mysef for Sunday.
It's called carbo-loading.
A thing I learnt during coaching courses.
Hmmmm....
I guess it must have been the chocs.
I've been eating way too many chocs the last few days that I can't remember the amount. =S

Anyway...this has been pasted in our dressing room for a while now.
Stole a pair of swimming trunks? Well done lad. =S
